The main protagonist who you play as is Joe Froome, a 5 time Tour de France winner whose passion for cycling waned when he discovered the art of rafting. He subjected himself to 'vigorous training', which to him is delivering parcels on the amazon river to remote and faraway fishing villages. He was inspired by one of my best friends from Dunhurst, similarly called Joe, who was also cyclist, and wore his hair under his beanie as shown above.
His clothes are indicative of his mastery of rafting, for which I mean they are bone dry. In this picture, he has finished his delivery program and is happily paddling back to base, a couple dozen miles along the long and windy amazon.
